Job summary

Citi in New York seeks a senior leader for Equity Trading – BE & Risk Control to oversee business execution and in-business risk management of the Equity Trading unit. The role partners with Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology and Compliance to deliver strategic initiatives and ensure governance under Citi standards.

Responsibilities include driving BRD development, coordinating across regions and product groups, and implementing control frameworks to improve efficiency and regulatory

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in financial industry.
• Equities product knowledge and end-to-end understanding of trades.
• Experience driving strategic projects in a large matrixed organization.
• Strong communication and risk management skills.
• Ability to collaborate with Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, Technology and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work with Equity Trading Head to drive strategic initiatives related to risk, people, capital and coordinate across product groups, regions, sectors and functional partners.
• Lead and coordinate the implementation of New Product capabilities from planning to execution and ensure compliance of Reg/Citi requirements.
• Drive the BRD for new business or change requirements.
• Coordinate with front-to-back partners to streamline processes and build policies with local rules and Citi standards.
• Drive efficiency and productivity initiatives with senior management and partners.
• Act as business contact for regulatory authority and compliance department and track/regulatory requirements.
• Implement risk strategies and monitor the controls’ effectiveness.
• Escalate, identify and manage potential risk; implement controls for client experience and ops.
• Anticipate problems and address root causes with solutions.
