Job summary

Citi is seeking a Vice President in Risk Control Testing to lead planning, execution, and reporting for controls testing across Markets Trading and Sales. You will coach a team of controls testing professionals, manage timelines, and engage stakeholders across Front Office, Compliance, and Operational Risk.

The role requires strong knowledge of markets, controls design, and testing techniques, with a track record of delivering rigorous, accurate results and effective risk management insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or university education preferred; industry experience and delivery track record are important.
• Experience in front-office controls testing, internal/external audits, or independent control reviews.
• Strong understanding of markets activities, regulatory risks and related controls.

Responsibilities

• Executing and reporting results of control testing.
• Supervising and coaching junior team members in execution of control testing.
• Monitoring execution of testing programme to agreed timelines; escalating obstacles to delivery.
• Maintaining high standards and best practice in testing activities.
• Providing challenge to stakeholders on control design and effectiveness.
• Supporting stakeholders in identifying control remediation from testing results.
• Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across Front Office, Markets Conduct Risk, Compliance and Operational Risk.
• Presenting impactful summary outputs from the testing programme to stakeholders.
• Providing Markets controls subject matter expertise across all three lines of defence.
