Job summary

Ledgend Group is seeking a Vice President to join its equity research platform covering EVs, robotics and next-generation mobility. You will lead primary coverage of 5 to 10 public companies and collaborate with senior analysts to produce earnings previews, research pieces and thematic deep dives.

The ideal candidate has 4–8 years in equity research, proven complex financial modeling, and established relationships with institutional investors and corporate management.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of equity research experience, with ideally exposure to industrials, autos and space or adjacent technology-driven sectors.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex financial models including DCF, comparable company, and sum-of-the-parts analyses.
• Established relationships with institutional investors and corporate management teams.
• Exceptional written communication and a track record of differentiated, publication-quality research.
• Comfort navigating both government contracting dynamics and commercial market structures.
• Series 86 and 87, or the ability to obtain within a defined period of joining.

Responsibilities

• Support primary coverage of 5 to 10 public companies across aerospace, defense, space, and mobility, working directly with the senior analyst.
• Contribute to initiation reports, investment theses, earnings previews and reviews, industry surveys, and thematic deep dives.
• Own the detailed earnings models, valuation frameworks, and scenario analyses across DCF, comps, and sum-of-the-parts.
• Track policy, contract awards, and competitive dynamics, and turn them into actionable insights for institutional clients.
• Build relationships with senior management teams, IR contacts, and industry experts across the universe.
• Support institutional investor engagement alongside the senior analyst and the sales and trading franchise.
• Partner with investment banking colleagues on sector-relevant transactions where appropriate.
