Job summary

Testing Site - JPMC is seeking a senior payments control lead (VP) to oversee high-risk Can-I-Pay validations across Equities. You will drive control oversight, automation initiatives, and risk mitigation while coordinating with regional teams worldwide.

The role requires deep product knowledge, operational expertise, and a ability to streamline workflows. You will engage Front Office, Treasury, and Technology to resolve payment issues and enhance STP processes.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in Payments, Operations, Product Control, or Treasury roles within Equities or related asset classes.
• Deep knowledge of Equities products such as Prime Brokerage, Cleared Derivatives, FXPB, EDG, or Cash Equities.
• Strong grasp of front-to-back trade lifecycle, settlement mechanics, and client funding processes.
• Ability to manage complex risk scenarios with rapid, well-reasoned decisions under pressure.
• Excellent stakeholder management and a control-first mindset.
• Experience driving automation or control improvements.

Responsibilities

• Perform independent validation and approval of complex, high-risk client and firm payments, journals, and funding adjustments across Equities.
• Establish and maintain a robust control framework to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risk.
• Partner with Front Office, Treasury, Operations, and Technology to resolve payment exceptions and escalations in real time.
• Contribute to design, requirements, and delivery of global Can-I-Pay automation and STP initiatives.
• Drive process simplification, eliminating manual steps and standardizing controls across regions.
• Represent the team in regional risk and change management forums.
