Job summary

Vibe Credit Union seeks an experienced risk leader to oversee enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, and governance across the organization. You will manage strategies, vendor oversight, and legal guidance in collaboration with the CFO and senior leadership.

The role requires strong analytical ability, cross-functional leadership, and a track record of shaping effective risk programs in financial institutions. Travel may be required as part of vendor and regulatory engagements.

Qualifications

• Experience establishing compliance governance and oversight functions.
• 5–10 years risk management experience at a financial institution.
• 5+ years leading a team.
• Juris Doctor Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and manages Enterprise Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks.
• Maintains oversight of vendor management program.
• Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer to create and implement 5-year “legal” strategic plan.
• Review, revise, and collaborate with team members to negotiate contracts and governance documents as requested by the CFO.
• Performs research and provides legal advice in support of compliance initiatives, regulatory matters, BSA/AML, and other legal guidance.
• Assesses risk potential of controls, activities, policies, and procedures to mitigate risk and loss.
• Participate in the development and oversight of policies, principles and standards.
• Ensure annual team member training in regulatory requirements is conducted.
• Serve as BSA Officer and oversee program throughout the enterprise.
• Administer Fair Lending, SAFE Act, and FCRA programs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, integrity, and leadership.
• Review processes for adherence to risk appetite.
