Job summary

Banc of California, Inc. is seeking a VP, Performance and Succession Program Manager in Brea, CA.

You will own the enterprise performance management and succession planning programs, driving strategy, design, governance, and measurement to improve outcomes across the organization. You’ll lead the full lifecycle from goal setting and feedback to calibrations and IDPs, collaborating with HR partners, leadership teams, and analytics to deliver scalable, data-driven insights.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of progressive experience in performance management and succession planning.
• Experience owning enterprise HR programs from strategy to execution and measurement.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Organizational Development, or related field; HS diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Own Banc of California's enterprise performance management and succession planning programs end to end.
• Lead the full performance management lifecycle: goal setting, feedback, mid-year check-ins, year-end reviews.
• Establish program frameworks, calendars, governance, communications, training requirements, tools, and success measures.
• Drive clear, measurable goals and strengthen quality of performance and development conversations.
• Own IDP standards, tools, expectations, reporting, and accountability for development plans.
• Lead enterprise succession planning including critical-role identification, readiness, talent reviews, and bench-strength analysis.
• Monitor successor readiness, leadership pipeline health, and emerging succession risks; elevate issues.
• Coordinate with HR partners, Talent Development, Talent Acquisition, HRIS, and other centers of excellence.
• Develop executive dashboards and insights on goals, performance, IDPs, readiness, and risks.
• Evaluate employee and manager experience to simplify processes and improve program effectiveness.
