Job summary

PGIM Real Estate is seeking a Vice President and Principal Engineer to drive strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise data, AI, and application platforms. Hybrid role based in Newark, reporting to the CTO, with a hands-on leadership style to scale data engineering teams and deliver trusted, well-governed solutions.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in technical leadership, 5+ years leading data teams, and a strong background in full-stack development, cloud, and AI readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
• 5+ years leading data engineering or software development teams.
• Passion for AI and emerging technologies with active learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, architecture, and delivery of enterprise applications including the unified data platform and data access layer.
• Build the AI foundation enabling NLP, chatbot experiences, and RAG-based capabilities across data.
• Design and govern architecture for scalability, performance, security, and standards.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate priorities into technology solutions delivering measurable value.
• Mentor and grow a team of engineers and architects toward delivery excellence.
