Job summary

AMSURG is seeking an accomplished executive to lead the Enterprise Applications & Platforms portfolio. This role drives strategy, modernization, and AI enablement across clinical, financial, and operational systems, reporting to the CIO.

The VP will guide governance, portfolio management, and cross-functional collaboration with business, clinical, and vendor leadership to ensure reliable, scalable enterprise assets and measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Proven technology leadership across enterprise apps and data platforms.
• Experience delivering enterprise transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Strong IT governance, risk, and regulated healthcare familiarity.
• Business and financial acumen with budgets, investments, and vendor contracts.
• Experience leading enterprise service delivery and distributed teams.
• Healthcare technology leadership experience required across clinical, revenue-cycle, financial and operational apps.
• Executive presence with strong communication and stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Serves as senior IT leader for enterprise applications, data platforms, and related capabilities.
• Sets strategy, governance, and accountability across the technology ecosystem.
• Oversees performance, security, compliance, and AI enablement of platforms.
• Leads portfolio governance: demand intake, prioritization, funding, lifecycle planning.
• Directs full application lifecycle: implementation, optimization, deployment, upgrades.
• Builds a high-performing organization and leadership bench.
• Partners with executive stakeholders to align technology with business priorities.
• Oversees service performance, risk, resilience, and incident management.
• Manages budgets for software, vendors, and external partners.
