Job summary

Blykalla seeks a VP Engineering US to build and lead the US engineering team and translate the reference design into a working US program. You will interface with R&D to preserve design intent while enabling practical execution, report to the VP Engineering and collaborate with the Head of US Project Development in Austin.

You will drive gaps closure, build the hiring plan, and oversee licensing support and external interfaces with INL, Oklo, and US partners, ensuring US codes/standards and QA

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering experience in highly regulated industries including nuclear.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams across geographies.
• Strong understanding of engineering execution in complex projects.
• US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Own the US engineering execution of Blykalla’s reference design in the US program.
• Build and lead the US engineering team, phasing hires to project milestones.
• Interface with R&D, manage design intent and change control.
• Support DOE Authorization processes and US regulatory alignment.
• Maintain interfaces with INL, OKLO, and US partners; represent engineering.
• Align outputs with US codes/standards and QA expectations.
