Vice President of Engineering at Aspect

As the Vice President of Engineering, you will be a pivotal leader, responsible for guiding our engineering organization into its next phase of growth. What You’ll Do

• Lead with Vision: Define and drive the technical vision and strategy for Aspect. You'll work directly with the executive team to ensure our engineering roadmap aligns with and supports our long-term business goals.
• Architect for Scale: Oversee the architecture and development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that meet our users' needs and our business's requirements.
• Build and Empower Teams: Lead, mentor, and grow a world-class engineering organization. You'll be responsible for hiring top talent, fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture, and providing clear career paths for our engineers.
• Drive Excellence: Establish and promote engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, deployment strategies, and operational excellence. You'll ensure our teams are not only moving fast but also delivering with quality.
• Collaborate Broadly: Work closely with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, Data Science, and Operations to translate big ideas into tangible products and features. Your ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences is key.
• Manage Resources: Own the engineering budget and ensure the efficient allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.

Who You Are

• A seasoned engineering leader with 15+ years of experience in software development, with a significant portion of that time spent in a senior leadership role (Director, Sr. Director, or VP).
• You have a proven track record of scaling and managing large engineering teams (100+ employees).
• You possess deep technical expertise in software architecture, cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), and modern development methodologies (Agile, DevOps).
• You are an empathetic and inspiring leader who prioritizes people and culture. You understand that building great teams is the foundation of building great products.
• You are an exceptional communicator and collaborator, capable of building strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You have a strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a bias for action and a relentless focus on delivering results.
