Job summary

Solairus Aviation, Inc. in Petaluma, CA, seeks an accomplished VP of Employee Relations to lead ER for all employees. You will partner with executives to shape policies, investigations, and compliance across multi-state operations.

The role focuses on maintaining Solairus’ culture and high morale while ensuring legal and regulatory readiness. You will coach managers, drive performance discipline, and oversee ER metrics and reporting to the EVPHR.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR or employee relations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Employment Law, or related field.
• Proven track record handling ER investigations and compliance.
• Experience advising senior leaders and partnering with legal teams.
• Strong knowledge of CA employment law (PAGA, CFRA, FEHA) and multi-state ER.
• Aviation operators or private aviation familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead ER for all employees, conducting investigations and documenting findings.
• Triage and manage ER cases; ensure timely resolution and reporting.
• Maintain compliance calendars and respond to regulatory requirements across states.
• Partner with General Counsel on litigation and agency charges.
• Design manager training and prevent ER issues through proactive programs.
• Develop and report ER metrics, trends, and risk to leadership.
