Job summary

AMC Global Media is seeking a strategic VP - Deal Finance to join our Global FP&A team in New York. You will oversee financial modeling for MVPD proposals, conduct analyses of proposed economics, and summarize outcomes for executives.

You will review contracts for economic alignment, analyze streaming bundles, and monitor distributor trends. You will guide pricing strategies and collaborate with business development while leading a finance team.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent working experience.
• MBA or pursuing MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Finance or Management Consulting.
• Negotiations, streaming, content licensing, or ad-supported cable TV experience a plus.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with data visualization tools and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, Essbase).
• Creative problem solver and quick thinker.
• Comfortable working in high pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial modeling of proposals as part of negotiations of MVPD and partnership opportunities.
• Perform financial analysis of proposed economics and make recommendations for counter proposals.
• Summarize proposals for executive management.
• Review contractual provisions during negotiations to ensure economic terms align with the financial model and contract.
• Provide financial analysis to evaluate Streaming bundles and partnerships.
• Develop and maintain expertise on Distributors and the landscape.
• Analyze subscriber trends and financial history.
• Strategize pricing/packaging of linear and SVOD services.
• Research industry trends to inform renewal strategy.
• Collaborate with Strategic Business Development on monetizing AMC IP.
• Provide ongoing support to SVP-Finance, Commercial Revenue in reporting/analysis.
• Manage and develop a high-performing team of finance leaders.
