Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. seeks a Data Scientist for Credit Risk Insights within the Chase 360 team in Consumer & Community Banking.

The Vice President will leverage payment and customer data to inform lending strategy and risk decisions, partnering with Risk leaders to answer high-impact questions and monitor emerging risks. You will help modernize analytics, using GenAI to enhance data science processes, and develop attributes to support credit models across consumer and small business lending

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in statistics, econometrics, or related quantitative field; or a BS with 7+ years of risk/quantitative experience.
• Deep expertise in the Consumer Financial Services industry.
• Strategic and commercial mindset with ability to define clear success metrics.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills across analytics projects.
• Ability to synthesize diverse information and develop actionable recommendations.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tight timelines.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, develop, and complete advanced analytics projects using data analysis, modeling, and data engineering.
• Conduct credit-focused analytics to identify, quantify, and monitor risks in consumers and small businesses.
• Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for strategic decisions.
• Conduct independent research on emerging risks relevant to consumers and small businesses.
• Deliver executive-ready narratives and tradeoffs to senior leaders.
• Drive execution in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing initiatives and ensuring roadmap milestones.
• Embrace GenAI-enabled innovation across the data science lifecycle and identify improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and macroeconomic developments relevant to risk analytics.
