Job summary

Axon, a leader in public safety technology, seeks an architecture and delivery leader to redefine data migrations, integrations, and conversions across Records, Standards, Gravity, and Vision product lines. You will build reusable frameworks, drive platform modernization, and set governance across sensitive data.

You will lead teams responsible for legacy CAD/RMS data extraction and integration, while partnering with Product and R&D to embed migration complexity into new offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
• 10+ years leading technical delivery, integration, or migration teams, including 5+ years in architecture/implementation
• Experience designing data migration/conversion platforms at scale
• Deep fluency in ETL/ELT, data mapping, schema transformation, and validation frameworks
• Familiarity with AI-assisted data mapping or schema inference
• Experience with enterprise data integration platforms like Informatica, MuleSoft, Databricks, Snowflake
• Strong SQL and Python scripting; able to review architecture and code decisions
• Experience decommissioning legacy systems with minimal downtime
• Proven ability to build and scale technical teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executives and customers

Responsibilities

• Owns architecture and execution for data migrations, conversions, and integrations across product lines
• Designs migration platform with ETL/ELT pipelines, mapping, QC, and rollback tooling
• Leads data solution engineering and architecture teams for legacy data extraction and integration
• Establishes common data mapping and validation standards across products
• Collaborates with Product/R&D to integrate migration complexity into product roadmaps
• Defines data governance, security, and chain-of-custody across workflows
• Evaluates and selects build-vs-buy for tooling and integration platforms
• Sets KPIs for migration velocity, quality, and go-live timing
• Builds and scales a team of data engineers and solution architects
• Partners to align capacity and pricing with customer commitments
• Keeps current on data tooling and public-safety interoperability standards
• Develops third-party partnership strategy for APIs and integrations
