Job summary

Archer in partnership with BNY is seeking a Vice President, Data Management Engineer in New York, NY to join the Conventional Trust team. You will lead data architecture, data modeling, and data quality initiatives across mainframe and distributed environments, ensuring scalable, reliable data pipelines and governance.

Ideal candidates have 6–10 years in software development, strong Snowflake, Python, SQL, and AI/ML data solutions experience, plus hands-on ETL tooling and BI integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 6–10 years of software development experience; securities/financial services a plus.
• Strong understanding of big data tech including Snowflake.
• Proficient in Python and SQL with data engineering capabilities.
• Experience with Oracle and AI/ML based data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design data models, databases, and data dictionaries across environments.
• Ensure data quality and implement data stewardship practices.
• Develop scalable data processing workflows with PySpark and Python.
• Write complex, performance-optimized SQL queries and ETL pipelines.
• Troubleshoot Spark jobs and optimize for performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet requirements.
• Follow coding standards, documentation, and best practices.
