Job summary

Archer is seeking a Lead Data Architect to own data architecture solutions in wealth management, delivering governed, AI-ready data for critical applications. You will shape conceptual, logical, and physical models and partner with stakeholders to ensure clear definitions and stable identifiers.

In this role you will drive target-state architecture, promote data mesh standards, and design for AI readiness across warehouses, lakes, and APIs, with high visibility and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data design for data products, data lakes or data warehouses.
• Experience designing data products in a data mesh context.
• Cloud-native data solution design experience.
• Ability to define and maintain metadata with governance.
• Ability to collaborate with business and tech teams to translate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Engage teams to propose data-architecture approaches.
• Define target-state data architecture for owned data products.
• Participate in governance forums and ensure standards.
• Design and troubleshoot architecture solutions for complex problems.
• Own data models for wealth management domains.
• Define canonical business concepts and relationships.
• Produce and maintain metadata artifacts and embed in data mesh.
• Design for AI readiness and enable analytics/AI use.
• Establish patterns for schema evolution and backward compatibility.
