Job summary

Options Consulting Solutions is seeking a VP of Data Engineering based in Boston to lead hands-on technical work and strategic engineering leadership for investment data platforms. You will shape architecture, design decisions, and scalable production systems for complex analytics and data delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in data engineering with leadership experience, strong SQL/Python skills, and deep experience with Snowflake, DBT, and orchestration tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
10+ years of data engineering experience with at least 5 years in technical leadership.
Experience in investment management, private equity or asset management preferred.
Cloud data platforms design, build, and operate at scale with batch and near real-time processing.
Proficiency with SQL, Python, Snowflake or equivalent, DBT, Dagster or Airflow, and Azure data tooling.

Responsibilities

Data Engineering - build systems for financial/economic datasets using modern data stacks.
Data Quality - standardize and maintain investment data sets for consumption.
Team Building - lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing engineering team with ownership.
