Job summary

Prologis is seeking a Vice President, Data Center Construction to lead delivery of data center projects, including speculative and build-to-suit. You’ll organize staffing, provide budget inputs for investment memos, and drive the entitlement process while establishing development standards.

Based in the West Region, you will partner with data center, development and deployment teams, mentor a high-performing group, and push innovation to improve efficiency, cost and schedule outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Real Estate—Development (data center focus).
• Land development or construction management experience.
• MS Project, BlueBeam, Google Earth, and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to travel ~30%.
• Experience championing a project from acquisition through due diligence, entitlements and permitting.
• Self-motivated with multi-tasking ability and minimal direction.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Proactive problem solving and accountability.
• Commitment to promoting the Prologis brand with efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coach the data center project management team across performance, staffing and growth.
• Lead construction for new-build and retrofit data center projects, from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with the data center design team to uphold design integrity and resolve challenges.
• Own development portfolio performance (cost, schedule, quality, safety).
• Monitor milestones to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables.
• Mentor junior colleagues with feedback and guidance.
• Drive innovation and development of best practices.
• Negotiate GC bids and optimize design against targets.
• Develop and manage relationships with General Contractors.
• Collaborate with procurement on cost-saving measures.
