Job summary

StepStone is seeking a DATS Business Partner Lead to act as a cross-functional project manager and mentor within a global network. You will translate operational needs into data, workflow, and technology solutions, partnering with Finance, FP&A, Tax, Legal/Compliance, and Product Operations to drive measurable value.

In this role you will own end-to-end project delivery, perform current-state assessments, design future workflows, and leverage AI capabilities to boost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in financial services, preferably within private markets.
• Knowledge of fund structures, operations, accounting, and reporting for alternatives.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives spanning people, process, data, and technology.
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to structure ambiguous problems.
• Ability to lead teams in defining needs and priorities across stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Platform skills (Power BI a plus).

Responsibilities

• Owns the full lifecycle of cross-functional projects from requirements through implementation and value measurement.
• Drives current-state assessments of key workflows, data dependencies, and technology inefficiencies; develops gap analyses.
• Identifies opportunities to revamp workflows and leverages AI capabilities to improve efficiency.
• Coordinates with engineering, data, and reporting analytics to translate requirements into specs.
• Designs and oversees delivery of advanced reporting, dashboards, and shared intelligence infrastructure.
