Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced Vice President for the Global Financial Crimes Sanctions Screening Controls team. The role centers on crypto sanctions, end-to-end governance, and audit-ready controls across reference data and transaction activity.

You will lead the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of the firm’s sanctions framework, partnering with GFC leadership and cross-functional teams to monitor evolving crypto risks and ensure compliance with global regimes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7–10+ years of sanctions compliance experience in a regulated financial institution.
• Deep expertise in cryptocurrency, digital assets, and blockchain sanctions risks.
• Strong knowledge of OFAC, EU, UN, UK regimes and cross-border applications.
• Hands-on with blockchain analytics platforms and sanctions screening tools.

Responsabilités

• Serve as subject matter expert and strategic owner for sanctions controls over crypto activity.
• Design and govern the end-to-end sanctions screening framework and governance.
• Lead on-chain screening integration and blockchain analytics initiatives.
• Translate regulatory expectations into actionable controls and risk scoring.
• Provide regulator-facing leadership with clear narratives and evidence packages.
• Maintain 2LoD procedures, testing, MI/KPIs, and audit-ready docs.
• Manage blockchain analytics vendors and third parties with due diligence.
