Morgan Stanley is seeking a VP-level Financial Crimes Advisory Officer for the Institutional Securities Group. The role supports KYC onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and sanctions reviews across multiple business lines, developing risk views and escalating issues as needed.

The position requires 8+ years of relevant experience, strong AML/sanctions knowledge, and excellent communication skills to interact with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and business units globally.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years of relevant experience in financial crimes, AML, or sanctions within a large/complex financial institution, law firm, or government/regulatory body.
• Detailed understanding of laws, rules and regulations pertaining to AML and sanctions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating as part of a global program.

Aufgaben

• Provide day-to-day support across ISG areas for KYC onboarding, enhanced due diligence, and periodic refresh.
• Develop and communicate a GFC risk view on clients, counterparties, and transactions across AML and sanctions.
• Escalate potentially suspicious activity and assist in regulator reports.
• Advise on customer risk ranking reviews and review of New Product Approvals for ISG.
• Oversee negative news and sanctions escalations and assist with regulatory exams and audits.
• Draft, revise, and implement policies and procedures; develop training content for BUs and risk teams.
