Job summary

Morgan Stanley seeks an experienced Vice President to join the Global Financial Crimes Sanctions Screening Controls team, focusing on crypto sanctions screening and blockchain-enabled activity. This role designs end-to-end governance, 2LoD operating model, and risk controls across reference data and transaction screening.

You will lead the crypto sanctions framework, oversee on-chain screening, translate regulatory expectations into actionable controls, and provide regulator-facing leadership.

Qualifications

7–10+ years of sanctions compliance/AML experience in a regulated financial institution.
Deep knowledge of cryptocurrency, digital assets and related sanctions risks.
Familiarity with global sanctions regimes and regulatory expectations.
Experience with blockchain analytics platforms and case management systems.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME and strategic owner for sanctions screening controls related to crypto activity.
Design and oversee enterprise-wide crypto sanctions screening framework.
Lead on-chain screening and blockchain analytics solution integration.
Translate regulatory expectations into actionable controls and risk models.
Provide regulator- and audit-facing leadership for sanctions matters.
