Job summary

SMBC invites a Vice President to lead Credit Portfolio Risk Reporting & Oversight in Charlotte. You will drive end-to-end executive content for regulatory and senior leadership forums, including Board and Risk Committee, translating complex analytics into clear narratives.

The role emphasizes agenda development, storytelling, and presentation production, partnering with Data/Analytics teams to ensure relevant, insightful content aligned with governance priorities. Hybrid work is available.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in the financial services industry.
• Experience in a global financial services organization is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field is required; advanced degree or CFA/FRM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production of executive-level presentations for regulators and Board.
• Identify key risk drivers and synthesize data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Develop compelling executive narratives and decision-oriented visuals.
• Create dashboards and presentation materials to enhance understanding and decision-making.
• Maintain governance calendar and ensure timely risk reporting delivery.
• Mentor junior team members.
