Job summary

Harbor Group Management Company seeks a Vice President, Investment Accounting, Credit Funds Controller to oversee financial reporting and fund administration for its credit fund platform. You will lead an accounting team, partner with CAO/CIO, and drive automation in close and reporting using AI tools and modern data platforms.

You will ensure accurate financial statements, investor reporting, and governance across multi-fund structures, while collaborating with auditors and external sponsors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 8+ years of significant, progressive accounting experience, preferably in fund accounting.
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 strongly preferred).
• Experience interfacing with institutional investors.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, fund accounting, waterfalls, and investor reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with AI tools and modern data platforms.
• Experience leading accounting teams and developing talent.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to brief senior management.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for credit fund accounting and reporting.
• Oversee month-end/quarter-end closes and fund statements.
• Manage third-party fund administrator relationships and NAV reviews.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve close and reporting efficiency.
• Partner with CAO, CIO, investor relations, and investment management.
• Develop policies and internal controls for scalable processes.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team.
