Job summary
BMO Financial Group's Commercial Real Estate team seeks an experienced Portfolio Manager to support credit assessment, risk management, and portfolio performance. You will prepare well-reasoned credit proposals, monitor loan covenants, and partner with Relationship Managers to deliver structured CRE solutions across the U.S.
Ideal candidates hold a finance/economics/real estate degree, corporate credit training, and 7+ years CRE underwriting/portfolio management experience with large loan
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting or real estate.
- Completion of corporate credit training program and lending authority.
- 7+ years underwriting and portfolio management in CRE lending.
- Strong knowledge of CRE underwriting principles and asset valuation.
- Experience with institutional real estate investors (REITs, funds, PE sponsors).
Responsibilities
- Analyze lending proposals, provide loan structuring expertise and present credit applications.
- Actively manage assigned CRE portfolio; monitor covenants and renewals.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers to generate client solutions and cross-sell.
