Job summary

The Town Lake Company in Austin, TX is seeking a VP of Acquisitions to lead front-end sourcing across shallow bay industrial, retail, office, and multifamily properties. You will own underwriting basics, structure deals, and drive aggressive deal flow through brokers and direct outreach.

In this role you will guide market research, run financial models, and coordinate with legal and finance teams to move opportunities toward closing. A strong CRE background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; finance, business, economics preferred; advanced degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in CRE acquisitions including financial analysis and underwriting; 10+ preferred
• Proven track record of sourcing, underwriting, and closing CRE acquisitions
• Experience with complex real estate transactions and financial structuring
• Experience with shallow bay industrial, retail, office, and/or multifamily assets preferred

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, screening, and originating commercial real estate investments across asset types
• Manage broker relationships and broker interactions to keep deal funnel full
• Lead initial underwriting, pro forma cash flow, and basic acquisition models
• Prepare offers, LOIs, and purchase agreements with limited oversight
• Lead due diligence, market analysis, and coordination with internal stakeholders
• Develop investment presentations and summarize findings for investment committee
