Job summary

United Way of Massachusetts Bay seeks a Vice President of Corporate Philanthropy to lead and execute a comprehensive corporate engagement and revenue strategy. In partnership with the Chief Development Officer, you will oversee all aspects of corporate philanthropy, including giving, workplace campaigns, volunteering, and sector-based programs.

The role involves building and growing the team, partnering across functions, and aligning corporate partnerships with organizational priorities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience in corporate philanthropy, corporate partnerships, CSR, business development, fundraising, or related consulting.
• Experience designing and executing integrated corporate engagement strategies, including philanthropy, employee engagement, and sponsorship.
• Experience managing, coaching, or mentoring team members, and readiness to build and lead a team.
• Strong change management skills and comfort operating in an evolving organization and field.
• Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and to the mission of United Way.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead the organization’s corporate philanthropy strategy and revenue initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer to set ambitious revenue targets.
• Lead the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of high‑value corporate partnerships.
• Build and lead a high‑performing corporate philanthropy team and align resources for impact.
• Oversee sector-based engagement including Real Estate and Private Equity/VC.
