American Arbitration Association is seeking a senior financial leader to serve as Vice President & Controller, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, controls, and regulatory compliance across a complex organization. You will provide strategic leadership, build accounting capability, and drive standards and processes for effective governance.

Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees accounting operations, external audits, tax filings, and cross-functional partnerships with FP&A and IT.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
• CPA designation strongly preferred; advanced coursework or certifications in accounting, audit, or finance transformation a plus.
• Significant progressive accounting and finance experience, typically 15+ years, including at least 5–7 years leading enterprise accounting functions.
• Demonstrated experience as Controller, Assistant Controller, or equivalent senior leader in a mid-sized to large organization.

Responsabilidades

• Own the integrity, timeliness, and reliability of monthly, quarterly, and annual close and financial reporting.
• Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, cash management, fixed assets, and investments.
• Lead external audits and ensure audit readiness; manage tax filings and compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
• Partner with FP&A to explain performance drivers and variances to management.
• Lead accounting transformation initiatives including process redesign, system upgrades, and automation.
