Job summary

Prestige Staffing is seeking a senior construction accounting leader to oversee accurate, timely financial reporting and build scalable processes and controls for a rapidly growing construction organization. In this executive role, you will manage through managers, partner closely with construction operations, and drive accountability while staying collaborative and solutions-oriented.

Hybrid Atlanta work arrangement, with onsite Mon–Thu and remote Fri, and a base salary of $170,000–$200,000

Qualifications

• Over 10 years of progressive accounting/finance leadership in construction.
• Executive-level leadership experience managing managers and scaling teams.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, close processes, internal controls, ASC 606.
• Experience with large commercial construction projects and ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction accounting function, with accountability for timely, accurate monthly/quarterly/annual close and financial reporting.
• Manage through direct reports across project controls/job cost accounting, accounts payable, and financial accounting/GL leadership.
• Lead recurring financial review meetings; present results, WIP and margin trends, variances, cash flow concerns, and recommended actions.
• Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, revenue recognition judgments (ASC 606), contract changes, cost-to-complete estimates, and margin movements.
• Strengthen general ledger integrity, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting controls.
• Partner with construction operations leadership to challenge and validate project financial inputs.
