Job summary

The Blackstone Group L.P. in San Francisco is seeking an experienced conflicts clearance professional to support the firm’s conflicts clearance process, restricted and watch lists, and information walls.

You will evaluate transactions, coordinate with legal/compliance and deal teams, and document analyses to prevent conflicts of interest while maintaining regulatory standards. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years at a major financial services firm in the control room or conflicts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Strong analytical and issue‑spotting skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and independent work ethic with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate potential transactions to determine names for restricted or watch lists.
• Coordinate with legal/compliance and deal teams on list inclusions/exclusions.
• Identify conflicts and escalate to appropriate contacts.
• Analyze firm touchpoints for potential conflicts of interest.
• Formulate recommendations to address conflicts of interest.
• Document analyses for conflict clearance.
• Obtain deal updates from investment teams.
• Evaluate and manage wall‑crossing requests.
• Review trade pre‑clearances from public side businesses.
• Assist with personal trading pre‑clearances as needed.
• Enhance systems for documenting conflict checks and lists.
