Job summary

Antares Capital LP in New York is seeking a Compensation Accountant to manage financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for incentive and equity plans, including discretionary bonuses and equity programs. You will collaborate with tax and HR to track data and support FP&A during annual budgets and monthly forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred; 7+ years of compensation accounting experience.
• Experience preparing footnotes and equity roll forwards.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial controls.
• Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, OneStream, DFIN, JPM Workplace Solutions).
• Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish monthly accounting processes for tracking incentive compensation and equity plans.
• Post all relevant entries to the general ledger.
• Support analytics, financial modeling and internal reporting.
• Access data from systems and collaborate across departments to complete reports.
• Prepare quarterly footnotes and compensation schedules for leadership and Board.
• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses for new/existing business functions.
• Work with HR and FP&A to understand trends, budget vs. actuals, and complete reports.
