• 5+ years of commercial lending experience with portfolio management success.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Proven ability to develop new commercial relationships.
• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting and financial statement analysis.
• Experience structuring loans (LOCs, term loans, owner-occupied real estate, equipment financing, working capital).

• Develop and grow commercial banking relationships through networking and business development.

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral.

• Maintain a strong pipeline and meet production goals.

What You'll Do

As a VP Commercial Lender, you'll play a vital role in growing the bank's commercial presence while delivering exceptional service to business clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and cultivate new commercial banking relationships through networking, referrals, and business development activities.
• Build and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial (C&I) lending relationships.
• Structure commercial loan opportunities that meet client needs while aligning with bank credit policies.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and collateral to evaluate lending opportunities.
• Present loan requests and recommendations for approval with thorough credit analysis.
• Collaborate closely with Credit Analysts and Underwriters to ensure efficient loan processing and portfolio management.
• Cross-sell treasury management, deposits, cash management, and other banking products to deepen client relationships.
• Monitor existing loan relationships to ensure ongoing credit quality and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective borrowers and consistently achieve production goals.
• Represent the bank within the community through networking events, industry organizations, and business associations.
• Stay informed on market conditions, industry trends, and competitive banking products.
• Deliver outstanding client service before, during, and after the lending process.

What You Bring

We're looking for a motivated lender who enjoys building relationships and delivering creative financial solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of commercial lending experience with demonstrated portfolio management success.
• Proven business development experience and a history of generating new commercial relationships.
• Strong knowledge of commercial credit underwriting and financial statement analysis.
• Experience structuring commercial loans including lines of credit, term loans, owner-occupied real estate, equipment financing, and working capital solutions.
• Understanding of commercial banking regulations and lending compliance requirements.
• Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Established network within the Plano/Dallas business community is highly desirable.
