Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Chicago is seeking a Data Analyst to join the Commercial Card - Business Intelligence team. You will help develop high-quality data solutions for reporting applications using modern cloud-based technologies, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver premier solutions.

As a core technical contributor, you’ll implement data solutions, handle production code, and translate complex data initiatives into clear narratives to influence decisions and drive action.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in an analytics, data analysis, or business intelligence role.
• 5+ years of hands on experience using SQL, Python, R to transform data from back-end sources such as Databricks or Trino.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleaning, transformation, and analysis.
• Advanced knowledge in one or more object-oriented programming languages.
• Experience with automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and ability to translate complex initiatives into clear narratives.

Responsibilities

• Engages technical teams and stakeholders to discuss scalable data approaches meeting needs.
• Defines the data target state of the product and drives strategy achievement.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Evaluates recommendations and provides feedback on new technologies.

• Maps end-to-end customer journeys by synthesizing data to surface actionable insights.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation to improve stability.
• Facilitates evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on data designs and architecture.
• Contributes to data analytic communities to promote modern data architectures.
