Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Vice President, Head of Collateral & Margin Management to build and lead a dedicated collateral and margin operations capability.

This leader will partner with Trading, Treasury/Funding, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Settlements, Finance, Tech, clearing banks, custodians, and counterparties to drive a scalable, well-controlled platform for growth. The role emphasizes establishing a strong operating model, governance, and end-to-end readiness for margin and collateral processes

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in a regulated broker-dealer environment.
• Strong knowledge of margin calls, collateral movements, reconciliations, and haircut concepts.
• Experience partnering with Front Office, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Technology.

Responsibilities

• Establish and lead the Collateral & Margin Management team with operating model, staffing, and governance.
• Oversee daily margin and collateral activity including calls, movements, substitutions, and settlements.
• Manage disputes, breaks, and root-cause remediation promptly and thoroughly.
• Provide oversight of collateral for repo/reverse repo and related financing arrangements.
• Collaborate with Trading and Treasury to improve liquidity efficiency within controls.
• Develop future-state margin platform requirements, data needs, and production readiness.
• Create MI and KRIs covering margin calls, disputes, aging, and settlement fails.
