Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer, VP to lead the architecture and implementation of cloud and hybrid data platforms. You will own end-to-end platform delivery, automate toil, and drive reliability across multi-region environments.

You will mentor engineers, design scalable infrastructure, and work across teams to advance cloud initiatives with modern CI/CD and observability tools, while maintaining security and performance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production engineering and deployment experience using DevOps tools and methodologies.
• 8+ years in developing production code with Python, Golang, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• 5+ years in large-scale production infrastructure management with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience building and managing cybersecurity platforms and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Architect cloud and hybrid infrastructure across multiple providers with high availability and disaster recovery.
• Automate toil and improve reliability through SRE practices.
• Mentor platform engineers and lead knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Scale systems using automation to improve velocity and reliability.
• Own platform implementation end-to-end from end-user perspective.
• Develop software tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations automation.
• Maintain live services with monitoring of availability and performance.
• Drive the technical vision for platform engineering initiatives.
