Job summary

Velocity Clinical Research, Inc. seeks a Vice President for Business Development to shape strategic plans and commercial growth across key customers and territories.

You will drive partnerships with sponsors, CROs, and pharma, shaping opportunities and closing deals to deliver revenue growth. Responsibilities include building a development plan, market analysis, collaborating with Operations, Finance, and Quality teams, and representing Velocity at industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field.
• 10+ years in business development or sales within clinical research.
• MBA, PhD, or MD is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of clinical research processes and industry trends.
• Proven ability to build strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with pharma, CROs, and sponsors.
• Lead business development plans, identify clients, attend events, generate leads.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to guide strategy.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in clinical research.
• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Budgets, Contracts, and Quality/Regulatory.
• Prepare and present tailored proposals highlighting value propositions.
• Track sales activities and report progress to senior management.
• Represent Velocity at industry conferences and events.
