Job Description

The Vice President Client Engagement leads the development and execution of client strategic plans across assigned markets. This position identifies and prioritizes investments in capabilities, systems, and programs that enhance market competitiveness and align with the company and client’s growth objectives. This role provides strategic direction and oversight to the extended account management teams and is responsible for driving alignment and collaboration across (Commercial and Government Programs), and throughout Prime.

Responsibilities
  • Instill a proactive client leadership culture across Prime by evaluating and influencing people, processes, and technology impacting client relationships; collaborate with internal teams to meet strategic objectives and fulfill client obligations.
  • Ensure alignment, prioritization, and efficiency in delivering capabilities, growth initiatives, and products; leverage understanding of client priorities and market trends to develop competitive solutions.
  • Provide leadership to the Area Vice President Client Engagement and teams, ensuring representation for market-specific needs; develop methodologies and reporting to support value delivery and client retention.
  • Collaborate to establish KPIs and dashboards monitoring performance against contracts; develop reporting cadence for relationship and retention metrics; set clear account management objectives for growth.
  • Identify key relationships for capabilities, growth, and competitiveness, including industry leaders and regulators; establish communication cadence to respond to threats and ensure compliance and innovation.
  • Lead market-based planning; support sales in evaluating RFPs, market perception, and product feedback; develop frameworks to respond to market needs.
  • Manage department budget, staffing, and performance, demonstrating Prime’s leadership standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field
  • 15 years of relevant experience in sales, account management, and strategy in PBM, pharmacy, health plan, or managed care
  • 10 years of leadership experience
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

  • Strong interpersonal skills, facilitating meetings, resolving conflicts, and building consensus
  • Experience in driving process improvements and change management
  • Exceptional communication and client relationship skills
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to prioritize compliance and business goals
  • Strong financial acumen
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA or related advanced degree
Physical Demands
  • Remain stationary 50%, able to move/traverse as needed
  • Operate office equipment
  • Communicate effectively, including travel up to 50%

All employees must adhere to security responsibilities and legal requirements.

Potential pay ranges from $217,000 to $369,000 based on experience.
