Job summary

BBVA USA in New York is seeking an experienced testing professional to join the US Regulation and Internal Control (RIC) unit. The role supports the testing program for the US Bank Branch and Broker Dealer, helping prepare annual testing plans and perform reviews in line with corporate guidelines.

Strong analytical and communication skills are essential; experience with risk-based reviews and regulatory expectations is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic experience.
At least 5 years in a senior capacity overseeing risk-based reviews, audits, examinations, testing, control assessments, or other assurance activities.
Knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and industry practices.
Experience preparing quality workpapers and reports to Senior Management.
Understands regulatory expectations for a testing team.

Responsibilities

Assist US Head of Testing in conducting a branch-wide risk analysis twice a year.
Assist in developing the annual Testing Plan and obtaining Management approvals.
Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders across seniority levels.
Conduct Testing reviews per plan and approved methodology.
Identify and test controls, raise and track issues and deadlines.
Prepare timely status updates and test reports for Head of Testing.
Assist in responding to internal and external requests (e.g., Internal Audit, Regulatory requests).
