Job summary

NextGenEnergyJobs is seeking an experienced Chief Risk Officer to lead and transform the company’s risk function in the United States. The role encompasses overseeing Credit, Model Validation, and Enterprise Risk Management, and aligning organizational design with strategic risk objectives.

The CRO will establish risk controls, select measurement methodologies, and drive reporting improvements while engaging with Members and Regulators to gain acceptance of enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as Risk Management Officer.
• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in a managerial/supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current state of Credit, Model Validation and Enterprise Risk Management functions.
• Evaluate organizational design and determine changes to enhance the risk function.
• Assess available technology suitable for implementing the risk function.
• Define appropriate risk controls and methodologies for risk measurement and reporting.
• Develop communications and consensus with Members and Regulators to secure acceptance of changes in risk management.
• Review and improve credit requirements and new member acceptance processes; resolve stakeholder conflicts.

Job description

The CRO will perform a thorough assessment of the current state of

• Credit, Model Validation and Enterprise Risk Management functions
• Organizational design and determine if changes needed to make the risk function more effective
• Available technology appropriate for implementing the risk function

As defined and approved by the CEO, the CRO will determine

• Appropriate risk controls
• Appropriate methodologies for risk measurements and internal process changes needed for risk measurement and reporting

Develop effective communications and consensus building with Members and Regulators to gain acceptance of proposed changes to enhance risk management, such as

• Reviewing and improving credit requirements
• Reviewing and improving new member acceptance processes
• Resolving conflicts that may arise in the stakeholder process regarding such processes

Required: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or At least 10 years of experience as Risk Management Officer 10+ years of leadership experience in a managerial/supervisory role. 15+ years of leadership experience in a managerial/supervisory role.
