Job summary

SMBC Group, a leading global financial group, seeks a Vice President, Business Analyst in Charlotte to align business needs with technology strategies. You will drive requirements, process optimization, and solution delivery for HR tech, including SAP SuccessFactors, across enterprise platforms.

You will partner with business leaders, IT, and vendors to design, implement, and optimize HR solutions, dashboards, and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, HR, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7+ years of business analysis experience supporting enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with HR technology platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Oracle HCM, or similar.
• Proficiency with Excel, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience facilitating UAT and system implementations, training, and change management.
• Knowledge of enterprise integrations, HR operations, workforce management, or employee lifecycle processes.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
• Evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and process documentation for technical teams.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users, technology teams, and external vendors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support the design, testing, implementation, training, and deployment of new systems, enhancements, and process improvements.
• Facilitate requirements validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and issue resolution activities.
• Develop reports, dashboards, metrics, and documentation to support business decision-making and project governance.
• Collaborate within Agile and traditional project delivery frameworks to ensure timely execution and successful outcomes.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to leadership regarding technology capabilities, process optimization, and business solutions.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across business and technology functions.
