Job summary

Flagship Pioneering is seeking a VP of Business Development to own and execute the BD strategy for a subset of portfolio companies within its ecosystem. You will lead cross-functional efforts to articulate value propositions, identify partners, and structure deals from concept to agreement.

You will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership to shape corporate strategy, validate data generation plans, and define partnership scopes, while engaging with pharma and biotech stakeholders to

Qualifications

Minimum 12 years’ industry experience with a demonstrated track record of business development and corporate strategy leadership.
Strong track record of strategy design and execution with impact on sell-side BD deals with pharma/biotech.
Ability to communicate complex scientific ideas and value proposition to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Drive development of the BD strategy for Flagship Pioneering portfolio companies to enable deal flow across the ecosystem.
Collaborate cross-functionally to establish BD strategy and drive it to deal execution with transaction leaders.
Develop value proposition narratives and partnerable packages for potential pharma collaborations.
