Job summary

LHH in Minnesota is seeking an Assistant Controller to support accounting and financial reporting, reporting to senior finance leadership.

You will lead month-end close, reconciliations, and consolidations across multiple entities, partner with FP&A on budgeting, and strengthen internal controls. This role offers visibility, leadership opportunities, and career growth in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting and corporate accounting.
• Strong technical accounting and GAAP knowledge.
• Experience with financial reporting, consolidations, internal controls, and month-end close.
• ERP system experience; exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
• Experience supporting a growing, multi-entity organization preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close, account reconciliations, fixed assets, revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial consolidations.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP.
• Manage intercompany accounting and consolidation activities across multiple entities.
• Partner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.
• Provide financial insights and support key business decisions.
• Drive process improvements and enhance accounting efficiencies.
• Assist with external audits and implementation of new accounting standards.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members.
