Job summary

Coaction Global is seeking a VP of Architecture and Engineering in Morristown, NJ to drive technology vision and execution across enterprise architecture, Core API engineering, and AI adoption. You will partner with CIO and business leaders to deliver strategic, scalable solutions.

The role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a track record of delivering architecture that enables business objectives while ensuring security and compliance in AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years IT and business experience across cloud and AI/ML.
• Proven execution and fiduciary responsibility.
• Experience leading AI initiatives from strategy to production governance.
• 10+ years of architecture and software engineering experience in commercial P&C.
• Experience with core systems replacement and modernization.
• Analytical, structured thinking with strong problem-solving.
• Strong customer orientation across underwriting, billing, claims.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in CS/IS/Business or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Proactively serves as the primary point of contact for enterprise architecture decisions.
• Develops technology and architecture vision and standards with the CIO and business stakeholders.
• Leads the architecture & Core API engineering teams.
• Defines and drives the enterprise AI adoption strategy and roadmap.
• Facilitates prioritization of architecture and software engineering initiatives.
• Researches emerging technologies including AI/ML and recommends cost-effective solutions.
• Works with IT to prepare alternatives to resolve business problems.
• Communicates architecture decisions and priorities to project teams and staff.
• Oversees end-to-end system integrations and governance of AI initiatives.
• Liaises with vendors to select products meeting goals.
