Citi is seeking an Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst in Tampa, FL. This senior technologist role leads enterprise-scale software development, balancing hands-on coding with architectural governance across teams worldwide.

The ideal candidate brings deep Java/J2EE/Spring expertise, modern messaging tech (Kafka/IBM MQ), NoSQL (MongoDB), and experience with AI-assisted tooling. You will mentor developers and ensure delivery aligns with Citi's standards and risk framework.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in application development or Systems Analysis.
• Extensive experience in Software Application Programming and Systems Analysis across the SDLC.
• Deep proficiency in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot in regulated environments.
• Hands-on experience with messaging and event-streaming technologies like Apache Kafka and IBM MQ.
• Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering workflows.
• Experience designing solutions aligned with enterprise architecture blueprints and governance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with multiple management teams to integrate functions and deploy new products and process improvements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of complex processes and standards.
• Provide expertise in applications programming and ensure design aligns with architecture blueprint.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
• Gain deep knowledge of business areas to integrate architecture and infrastructure with goals.
• Provide analysis and innovative solutions to defined issues.
• Coach mid-level developers and analysts, allocating work as needed.
• Assess risk and ensure compliance with laws and Citi's policies.
