Job summary
JPMorgan Chase in Newark, DE is seeking an enterprise analytics engineering leader to own the roadmap within RM&C Data Analytics and Intelligent Automation. You will architect end-to-end pipelines on Databricks and govern data with Delta Lake and Unity Catalog, delivering governance, lineage, and access controls.
You will partner with data product owners and architects to enable self-service analytics, build executive dashboards with Tableau and Sigma, and drive adoption of a Databricks strategy
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- 7-8+ years in data or analytics engineering or BI in a regulated environment.
- Hands-on independent proficiency in ETL/pipeline design, development, testing, and operations.
- Hands-on independent proficiency in Advanced SQL, including writing, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on independent proficiency in Python and PySpark, with production-grade implementation experience.
- Hands-on independent proficiency in Databricks Lakehouse architecture, including pipelines, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog.
- Hands-on independent proficiency in enterprise BI/visualization with Tableau and Sigma.
- Strong schema and modeling experience for integrated datasets; practical knowledge of data mesh concepts.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end pipelines on Databricks using Delta Live Tables, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog for governance, lineage, and access controls.
- Build ingestion and integration pipelines in Python and PySpark, consuming JPMC data products into a Lakehouse; use Alteryx and Prophecy as feeder tools where appropriate.
- Design a governed self-service layer in Databricks SQL with curated semantic models, views, and controlled exposure for independent business exploration.
- Partner with data product owners and data architects to ensure data governance, including cataloging, lineage, ownership, and entitlements.
- Advise on cloud analytics strategy, including onboarding new Databricks users and citizen developers by defining enablement patterns, entitlements, requirements, and governance.
- Communicate clearly with senior, non-technical stakeholders and translate data into actionable narratives and decisions.
- Deliver executive-ready dashboards and self-service analytics using Tableau and/or Sigma on Databricks-served data.
- Leverage AI tooling such as GitHub Copilot to accelerate development while maintaining independent ownership and validating AI-generated code and documentation.
