JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join the Chief Data Analytics Office - AIML Data Platforms Team in Jersey City.

You will design and implement scalable software frameworks, lead AI-enabled development practices, and guide cross-functional teams through complex enterprise programs. The role requires deep Databricks and AWS expertise, a strong focus on security and resiliency, and the ability to influence senior leaders while delivering high-quality production code

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading technology organizations and delivering complex, enterprise-scale programs.
• Proficient in Python and SDLC processes at an enterprise grade.
• Deep expertise in Databricks architecture, performance tuning, cost management, security patterns, and operational excellence.
• Ability to influence senior leaders across business, product, and technology domains.
• Experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices with human-in-the-loop validation and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design patterns.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code; reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Architects and governs agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, code quality, and scale, with guardrails for security and reuse across teams.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation and value realization.
• Advises cross-functional teams on technical matters within domain of expertise and serves as a go-to subject matter expert.
• Contributes to development of technical methods in line with product development methodologies.
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams; influences senior stakeholders.
• Leads and mentors across portfolios, aligning priorities and driving execution.
