Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Vice President Department Manager to lead the Securities Settlements team in Baltimore within Global Securities Settlements. The role oversees DTC settlements and risk controls, managing a 14+ person team with offshore and vendor resources in the Americas.

The position partners with Prime Brokerage, Fixed Income and Equities to advance settlements transformation, optimize processes, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years' relevant experience in securities settlements or a related Operations function, including experience managing or supervising a team.
• Strong knowledge of US settlement processes, systems, and markets and subject matter expertise in key products/processes.
• Experience with regSHO / 204 processes and associated risks.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision for the direction of your team with global peers, ensuring consistent execution, strong control framework, and process adherence within regulations.
• Take responsibility for talent acquisition, building a bench, and succession planning.
• Manage operations as a business considering client service, cost effectiveness, and automation/efficiency goals.
• Partner with peers and external stakeholders to implement strategy and future state.
