Job summary

Moody's is advancing AI governance and risk oversight across the enterprise, serving as an independent second line of defense for the full AI lifecycle. The VP, AI Risk Management reviews AI risk assessments, evaluates mitigation strategies, and ensures compliance with internal standards while coordinating with internal audit, operational risk, compliance, and technology teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in risk management, technology governance, or model validation.
• Experience with AI risk assessment methodologies and governance frameworks.
• Engagement with senior stakeholders across risk, legal, compliance, audit, and technology.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate AI risk assessments conducted by first-line teams.
• Lead deep-dive risk assessments for AI systems and oversee mitigation strategies.
• Maintain AI governance frameworks aligned with NIST RMF, ISO 42001, and EU AI Act.
• Monitor and report Key Risk Indicators and metrics for AI governance maturity.
• Maintain visibility into AI enablement strategic roadmap and propose course corrections.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports for AI governance initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal audit, operational risk, compliance, and technology teams.
• Support AI policy, governance standards change management and training.
