JPMorgan Chase & Co. in New York seeks an AI Platform Engineer—Vice President to own the architecture and day-to-day engineering of our AI research platform.

You will design secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for CPU/GPU workloads and build reproducible research environments using container images, IaC, CI/CD, and orchestration. Collaborating with researchers, you will translate LLM and AI workflow requirements into dependable platform capabilities, manage risk and controls, and help advance

Qualifications

• Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, information systems, or related field; 4+ years in industry.
• Hands-on experience operating production environments (EC2, networking, storage, monitoring, cost management).
• Strong knowledge of Linux, containers, networking, storage, and distributed systems; experience with orchestration/workload scheduling.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and delivery automation (Terraform/CloudFormation).
• Proficiency in Python and shell scripting; solid automation practices.

Responsibilities

• Own architecture, technical roadmap, and day-to-day engineering of the AI research platform.
• Design and operate secure, scalable cloud/CPU/GPU infrastructure (clusters, scheduling, storage, networking, cost).
• Create reproducible, self‑service research environments and platform automation via container images, tooling, IaC, CI/CD, and orchestration.
• Collaborate with researchers to translate requirements into platform capabilities for LLM/agentic AI workloads.
