Job summary

Goldman Sachs's Technology Legal team seeks a seasoned technology attorney focused on AI, data protection, and cybersecurity to advise on governance, procurement, and product integration across the US and EMEA.

You will collaborate with global teams to address EU AI Act compliance, GDPR obligations, and data governance, while supporting incident response and regulatory notifications. A strong track record in finance tech law is preferred.

Qualifications

• Licensed and barred attorney with at least 5 years in technology law.
• Substantive experience advising AI, data protection and broader tech law.
• Strong knowledge of EU AI Act and GDPR.
• Experience advising on cyber or data incident response and regulatory notifications.
• Excellent analytical, research, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work with stakeholders across levels in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Advise Engineering Division and business units on AI regulation and governance.
• Provide legal support on AI applications and models development.
• Advise on AI laws, including EU AI Act and GDPR.
• Support integration of AI into products, addressing enterprise risk and mitigation.
• Collaborate with privacy, cybersecurity, sourcing and IP experts on strategic initiatives.
• Provide global legal advice on AI, data protection, privacy, governance, cybersecurity.
• Support governance functions in managing AI risk and firmwide systems.
• Assist in cyber, data and technology incident responses, including regulatory notifications.
